Safety Program
Under the direction of full time Safety Officer Bob Compin, Metropolitan has developed a safety program that rivals the best in the industry. It is an integral part of every project, and incorporated into every step from the moment we begin work until the moment we arrive home.
Bob oversees our program that includes the following:
- Monthly safety committee meetings
- Routine job site visitations and reporting by safety committee members
- Weekly field safety meetings
- Ongoing training programs
- Public monitoring of our safe driving habits through the “How Am I Driving?” program
- Safety training orientation seminars for new employees
- Quarterly reviews with our insurance carriers
Metropolitan Electrical Construction complies with all Cal/Osha and Fed/Osha standards pertaining to safety, health and environment, is an OSHA 500 member and belongs to the NFPA – National Fire Prevention Association, BICSI – Sound and Communications quality assurance and the National Safety Center to name but a few.
Our safety committee is proactive in reviewing industry trends and develops new procedures wherever necessary. Just one example - we are in the process of certifying 10/30 Hours OSHA before OSHA requires this to take place.
