In 1995 Metropolitan was awarded the contract to build and maintain Pac Bell (then Cingular, now AT&T) cell sites. Realizing this type of work requires a composite crew of electrical and telecommunications workers, Metro created its Special Projects Division to combine the best of both worlds.
The success of this approach to not only wireless work but extended projects such as ATM rollouts has been emulated industry-wide. Metropolitan created the blueprint for this success and is still leading the way as the technology evolves on a daily basis.
